The original OEM door trims (interior panels) used on NA6 and NA8 models was made with a wood-based fiberboard core (compressed wood fibers bonded with adhesive) - a material commonly used in automotive manufacturing during the late 1980s and early 1990s, while lightweight, adequate structural strength, and a certain level of moisture resistance, its great advantage lies in its cost-effective manufacturing at the time, this material can deteriorate over the years due to age and environmental exposure.

With the introduction of the NB generation, Mazda transitioned to one-piece molded plastic construction with integrated handles. This change improved durability and production efficiency.

Earlier NA models, however, retained a classic multi-layer construction- combining a flat base panel, foam padding, and a vinyl surface-typical of sports cars from that area, creating a softer and more flexible interior feel.

Today, the flat-style door trim is an essential part of the vintage character of the Miata NA. However, on most NA models, the wood-based core has absorbed moisture over time, leading to warping and deterioration. While the upper cushioned section often remains intact, the flat panel commonly bends and lifts away from the door- a familiar issue on aging vehicles. As of December 2025, new OEM integrated door trims are still available but only for NA models, in limited versions and high cost. Unfortunately, all OEM trims for NA8 models have been discontinued.

To address this, MARUHA has reproduced a high-quality original door trim, designed to overcome the weaknesses of the factory parts while preserving the authentic look - offering a superior solution for restoring and upgrading NA interiors.

Maruha Door Trim Features-1 / Core Material

The core material uses foam resin, offering greatly improved durability. It provides excellent water resistance and is highly resistant to warping caused by moisture-an important advantage over traditional designs. Ever new OEM door trims continue to use wood-based boards, meaning long-term deformation and deterioration cannot be fully avoided. By contrast, the foamed resin core used by MARUHA is lightweight, flexible, and resilient, allowing it to follow the door’s contours smoothy and maintain proper fit over time.

Maruha Door Trim Features-2 / Panel shape

Based on the original OEM panel shape and dimensions, every detail has been accurately traced to ensure proper fitment. The design focuses on clean aesthetics after installation, avoiding unnecessary pockets and maintaining a simple, timeless layout built for long-term use. The surface is finished with a soft synthetic leather featuring a natural-grain texture. In addition, automotive-grade materials are used, ensuring suitable and reliability for interior applications.

[Important notice]
The standard color options are Black, Red and Tan.
Please note: Red and Tan interior may show slight color differences compared to original OEM crash pads due to aging and fading of existing interior parts. We kindly ask for your understanding, as this is a natural characteristic when matching new components with aged interior parts.

Maruha Door Trim Features-3 / Intermediate Cushion Layer

The intermediate liner is made from a specialized material resistant to hydrolytic degradation, ensuring long-term durability even in moisture-prone environments.
Door trims are often exposed to rainwater and car washer moisture, making the use of high-durability foam a critical factor-this is another key point that clearly differentiates it from OEM parts.

In addition, the foam liner offers excellent thermal insulation, helping improve air-conditioning efficiency while effectively blocking heat from outside the door. Like the surface material, it also features flame-retardant properties.
This is not merely a cushioning material, but a high-quality, functionally engineered liner designed for long-lasting performance.

Maruha Door Trim Features-4 / NA6 &NA8 Common compatibility

This product is compatible with both NA6 and NA8 models, for power windows (PW) as well as manual windows.
A single type is sufficient to cover all these variations.

The main difference between the NA6 and NA8 models lies in the shape of the inner door handle.

●The NA6 inner handle has an L-shaped design and is secured at three mounting points.
●The NA8 inner handle has an I-shaped design and is secured at two mounting points.

The upper round hole is shared by both models and pre-drilled during manufacturing.
Remaining holes have guide perforations clearly marked with trimming lines on the back side of the board and can be opened as needed.

The board material is flexible foamed resin, which makes this type of processing relatively easy.

For power window (PW) models, no additional holes are required.
For manual window models, simply drill the round holes following the trimming guides on the back.

Unlike other aftermarket products made from aluminum or carbon, this board can be easily modified during installation, which is an important advantage.

Maruha Door Trim Features-5 / Speaker Grille

This is the door trim for the M2-1028, which was produced in limited quantities by the former M2 corporation.

It features a very simple, one-piece design, with no pockets or kick panels attached.

Maruha first began working on door trims out of admiration for this good and basic design and desire to recreate it as a role model.

The refined 1028 door trim combines vintage feel with a clean, minimalist sport car design, making it a true Roadster design benchmark.

There are two round holes: one for the 1028-specific door handle (ring-style strap), and other for the manual window regulator handle.

■With speaker grille

The speaker grille version includes a metal grille to protect the speaker.

The grille is made from a specially corrosion-resistant plated steel. Even at the cut edges, a self-healing protective coating is formed, providing strong rust protection, even around the edges.

On the back side of the panel, a dedicated trim fastener mount is provided only in the speaker area.

This design, also used on Mazda genuine trims, maintains the proper clearance to protect the speaker.

MARUHA’s door trim reproduces even these fine details.

■Without speaker grille

he Mazda Genuine resin speaker grille cover (black) has been discontinued.
Originally, this separate resin cover was designed with the assumption that the speaker might be kicked when getting in or out of the vehicle.

As the black version is no longer available, please handle it with care.

Maruha Door Trim Features-6 / Trim fastener hole

▲Gourd-shaped trim fastener hole

The gourd-shaped trim fastener hole allows the reuse of genuine OEM trim fasteners.

The narrowed section of the hole locks the fastener in place. Original wooden boards can become brittle with age and forced removal, or misalignment may damage the holes.

Using a foamed resin panel that resists deformation and aging offers a clear advantage.

With precisely positioned holes, installation can be done the same way as the OEM trim.

Maruha Door Trim Features-7 / Aluminum glass cloth sheet

▲A protective sheet that cannot be torn by hand.

The folded edges on the back of the panel are not secure by adhesive alone.
They are reinforced with specially shaped aluminum sheets that are laminated by carbon-based nonwoven fabric, creating a highly durable material that cannot be torn by hand.

Original panels may suffer from adhesive failure due to aging, which can cause the surface to peel. For this reason, securely bonding the folded edge is essential.

Each piece is cut to a dedicated design, placed precisely where needed, and carefully bonded at key points, resulting in a meticulously crafted quality, labor-intensive construction.
